PFS-Trans State Version
The State Version is for State Level Departments of Transportation and manages all aspects of appropriation and funding of Transportation Projects. This version provides complete management and tracking for all Federal Aid and Non-Federal Aid Projects.
Additionally, PFS-Trans sends project and funding data to the Federal Highway Administration's (FHWA) FMIS-4 System eliminating the need for double entry and allowing the capability for quick Federal Funding approvals.
PFS-Trans System Highlights
- Obligation Authority (OA) Amounts Management and Tracking. Know how much OA you have available at any time. The system will let you know if you try to obligate more than your OA amount. Supports multiple OA Accounts and end of Federal Fiscal Year Reconciliation.
- Appropriation Account Management and Tracking. Know what's available in any Appropriation Account at any time. The system will let you know if you try to obligate more than what's in your Account. Appropriation amounts and related OA amounts are automatically reduced as you obligate Federal Funds to Projects. Supports Federal Fiscal Year carry-over amounts.
- Track and Manage your Federal Aid and Non-Federal Aid Projects. Manage and track all information about your projects to include Federal and Non-Federal Funding, Approval Dates, Authorizations, Modifications, Expenditures, and much more. Easily, reconcile your data amounts with FHWA's system.
- Meets FHWA's Electronic Signature and EDS File Transfer Requirements for FMIS-4. PFS-Trans can send (via FTP) your project and funding data to the FHWA with one mouse click.
- Powerful and Flexible Search Engines and Reporting. Search and report on many different categories, statuses, phases, dates, projects, appropriations, and OA. PFS-Trans contains 7 detailed project reports, 8 Appropriation, Obligation Authority (OA), and Funding Reports, Several Listings, and system generation of the Federal Aid Request, Authorization, Modification, and Agreement Forms (State PR Forms).
- Supports Multiple Organizational Units. Supports multiple Organizations, Divisions, and Regions for those organizations where functions such as State Programs, Local Programs, and Planning, are separate. Allows for each organizational unit to manage their own Projects, Appropriations, and OA Accounts.
