Versions
State Version
The State Version is for State Level Departments of Transportation and manages all aspects of appropriation and funding of Transportation Projects. This version provides complete management and tracking for all Federal Aid and Non-Federal Aid Projects.
Additionally, PFS-Trans sends project and funding data to the Federal Highway Administration's (FHWA) FMIS-4 System eliminating the need for double entry and assists in quick Federal Funding approvals.
PFS-Trans system has three modules: Appropriations, Projects, and Funding.
- Appropriations Module: This module manages Appropriation Accounts and Obligation Authority (OA) Amounts received from the Federal Government.
- Projects Module: This module manages and tracks project specific data and appropriation and expenditure data for Federally Funded and Non Federally Funded Projects.
- Funding Module: This module manages Fund Accounts used for funding projects. This allows you to track the actual expenditures for projects
Local Version (for City and County Governments)
The Local Version is for City and County Governments, as well as Private Sector Companies specializing in Transportation Construction Projects. This version provides the capability to plan, manage, and track the funding for Transportation projects. It has the same capabilities and modules as stated in the State Version above, however, it does not contain the Federal Obligation Authority tracking and connections to the Federal Highway Administration System.
Version Types
Both the State and Local Versions above are available for the Desktop and Enterprise Wide.
Desktop Version
The Desktop Version is a Single-User version that is installed on a single PC and comes with it's own desktop database.
Enterprise Version
The Enterprise Version is a Multi-User Client/Server Version that is avaialble enterprise-wide on a network (WAN or LAN). It is currently available for Oracle, MS SQL Server, and Sybase ASE Database Engines. There is only one license needed. Unlike other software development companies, we do not charge by the user or CPU.
